Slow-cooked Italian beef cheek

With the confit Veal Guancialetto, Jolanda de Colò has transformed an elaborate and refined recipe into a ready-made dish of haute cuisine: comfortable, fast but above all of the superior quality, all you have to do is heat it in boiling water or in a pan to obtain a speciality of ready-to-serve meat. We recommend that you also use the sauce when you heat it.

The bite sensation is pleasant, with a soft consistency that recalls that of boiled meat, thanks to the cooking in confit in its aromatic sauce; the flavour has the precious notes of braised meat, enhanced by the natural flavour of the tomato.

Suggested Preparations:

  • Put sealed package of confit veal cheeks in boiling water for 10 minutes. Remove from water and add contents of the package into a bowl of noodles to make a simple premium meal.

  • Put sealed package of confit veal cheeks in boiling water for 10 minutes. Remove package from water and leave to cold until it becomes warm. When warm, tear the meat into strips and add to your favourite cold salad.

  • Open the package in a pot, add 2 glasses of red wine together with thyme, rosemary, and garlic. Cook the veal cheek gently until the wine has reduced to become a thick sauce.
